Our PHP provides a full-day therapeutic environment where adolescents can receive intensive clinical support while continuing to live at home. The program is designed to stabilize acute symptoms, prevent hospitalization, or assist in the transition from inpatient care.
The focus of the PHP is to promote emotional stabilization, skill development, and safe reintegration into home and school environments. Adolescents attend treatment five days per week for approximately six hours per day, receiving care in a supportive, highly structured setting.
Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan, developed and monitored by a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, registered nurses, master’s-level clinicians, and behavioral health staff. Treatment includes group therapy, individual therapy, family sessions, medication management, and skills training.
PHP participants benefit from the hospital-based setting, which ensures access to experienced medical and behavioral health professionals, as well as an environment tailored for safety, growth, and therapeutic progress. Family engagement is also a critical component, with regular check-ins and scheduled family therapy to support long-term recovery.
Common reasons adolescents benefit from PHP include:
- Intense mood disorders (e.g., major depression, anxiety)
- Difficulty functioning in school or at home due to emotional distress
- Recent psychiatric hospitalization or risk of inpatient admission
- Trauma-related challenges and unresolved grief
- Self-injurious thoughts or behaviors without imminent risk
- Social withdrawal, low motivation, or academic regression
- Struggles with emotion regulation and impulsivity
- The need for consistent, daily therapeutic structure
