(From Fox5Vegas) As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center released tips to help survivors of the Las Vegas mass shooting prepare for any potential emotional or psychological impacts resulting from the sound of fireworks. According to a release, mental health professionals recommend that family and friends form a support system for those individuals affected by the sound of fireworks
Our clinical director, Nina Snipes, was featured on Fox 5 Vegas discussing the support group partnership between our hospital and Dignity Health Centers and the Vegas Resiliency Center.
Community Liaisons, Matt and Kyle, were invited by counselor Rosenda Rivas to speak at and sponsor Global Community High School’s “student of the quarter” celebration this past Friday. Dozens of pizzas and refreshments were also provided by the Hospital. Each teacher nominated students based on academic performance, attendance, character, improvement made, and future/college plans.
