Vegas Strong Resiliency Center offers tips to survivors as July Fourth approaches

(From Fox5Vegas) As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center released tips to help survivors of the Las Vegas mass shooting prepare for any potential emotional or psychological impacts resulting from the sound of fireworks. According to a release, mental health professionals recommend that family and friends form a support system for those individuals affected by the sound of fireworks

Student of the Quarter

Community Liaisons, Matt and Kyle, were invited by counselor Rosenda Rivas to speak at and sponsor Global Community High School’s “student of the quarter” celebration this past Friday. Dozens of pizzas and refreshments were also provided by the Hospital. Each teacher nominated students based on academic performance, attendance, character, improvement made, and future/college plans.

Vegas Ribbon Cutting

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital

The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce performed the ribbon cutting ceremony with Signature Healthcare Executive Vice President, Blair Stam, and Desert Parkway Behavioral CEO, Steve Shell. Community members, providers, employees, and other healthcare professionals attended the event and toured the new hospital built to serve Southern Nevada.
