The focus of our Adolescent IOP program is to provide a supportive and encouraging setting that promotes emotional awareness, healthy decision-making, and long-term coping skills to empower adolescents to make meaningful behavioral and emotional changes.
Our IOP is designed for individuals who may be stepping down from a higher level of care, such as inpatient or PHP, or those who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy. IOP serves as an essential level of care that bridges the gap between inpatient hospitalization and individual outpatient treatment. This program appeals to families, school counselors, and other providers for its ability to potentially prevent hospitalization while supporting academic and social reintegration.
Each patient receives a tailored treatment plan, developed in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, master’s-level therapists, nurses, and behavioral health specialists. Family involvement is highly encouraged and is an integral part of the recovery process.
Groups meet three days per week for three hours per session, typically over an eight-week period, although length of stay is based on individual needs. New patients may enroll at any time. Families are asked to participate in their child’s progress through bi-weekly family sessions.
