What is a Self Referral?
Often, patients are referred to a behavioral health facility by a physician, mental health professional, or family member. A self referral is when you reach out on your own and set up a plan for your mental health treatment and recovery. An assessment will be conducted to determine your specific needs and then a customized treatment plan is created. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to your assessment for support if needed.
What Can I Expect From an Assessment?
A certified professional will ask you questions about your medical and psychiatric history, as well as present concerns. Our goal is for you to feel as comfortable as possible and for you to be fully informed. A mental health assessment is not a full psychiatric evaluation. It is a way for us to determine which programs and services will be most beneficial to you. It is also free and completely confidential, so if you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to make an appointment.
What If I Need to Stay Overnight?
We provide both inpatient and outpatient mental health help in Las Vegas. It is possible that you will be required to stay for a day, or a few, at our facility.
